The CWA Local 13000 Bargaining Committee reports:
After our last session ended on Thursday, August 27, 2020 the company began to review our bargaining proposals more closely and reached out to schedule 3 additional bargaining dates including today Tuesday, September 1, 2020. We have also added September 16 and 17, 2020 as bargaining dates. The company knows we are here to work to a fair contract and the additional dates will allow us to continue our fight to achieve that.
The morning session saw the Union committee walking the company through each of our economic proposals which range from improved meal allowances and differentials to our wage package. In the afternoon we shared counter proposals to slow the company’s attack on your bargained-for rights and look to for solutions that would benefit you the Membership. The company had few answers again today though we did grow closer to agreements on proposals related to training, long term disability and supervisors performing bargaining unit work.
We are now in recess until September 9, 2020 and continue to offer to meet with the company at every available time between now and the contract’s expiration in order to continue working toward a fair contract.
