The Union and the Company met today, Friday, February 9, 2018 and continued to bargain towards a new agreement. Issues discussed today included travel reimbursement, Layoff and Recall notifications, better training language, removing discipline language from the training Article, contract labor and getting a Senior Network Technician title introduced. We are getting closer to agreements in some of these areas but more work still needs to be done.
These talks have moved slowly and the Company hasn't shown a sense of preparedness to keep the process moving as we count down to the expiration of your contract. Talks are scheduled to resume Monday, February 12, 2018. There are still many open issues that need resolved and the clock is ticking... Ask your Unit President what you can do to be more involved.
