The Union and Company resumed bargaining three days this week after breaking for the holiday. The Union opened the bargaining session by submitting to the Company an “information request” which both sides engaged in open and frank discussions concerning various issues.

Breaking! Justice Department Confirms that Airline Agents Are Covered by Federal Assault Law

The U.S. Department of Justice has just confirmed that passenger service agents are covered by legislation that set significant penalties and jail time for anyone who "interferes with airport and airline personnel who have security duties."

DirecTV Call Center Workers Voted YES!

Historic news! For the first time, two thousand DIRECTV/ AT&T call center workers will be covered by the benefits and collective protection of a CWA contract. Workers at the centers ratified their first union contract by a majority vote.

DirecTV Call Centers: Bargaining Report #4 - Tentative Agreement!

The bargaining committee met again on Monday, December 19 with AT&T in Atlanta. After negotiations with management, we have arrived at a proposal for DIRECTV call center workers to gain the protection of a contract and join together with over 45,000 CWA represented workers at AT&T Mobility.

American Red Cross Local Contract Tentative Agreement votes have been counted, and it has been ratified by the membership.

The CWA Bargaining Committee spent Thursday morning reviewing the proposal from AT&T. In the afternoon, the worker representatives on the Committee took time to tell AT&T why they need more.

American Red Cross Tentative Agreement Reached: Local 2201

CWA Local 2201 is happy to announce that the bargaining team reached a tentative agreement on a Local contract with Red Cross. This is a first agreement and builds on much of the economic benefits bargained in the National Addendum.

DirecTV Call Centers: Going to the Bargaining Table

Exciting news! DIRECTV customer care call center workers are heading to the bargaining table as a result of a pre-bargaining agreement CWA reached with AT&T today. The successful agreement puts an end to the delays and gives DIRECTV workers greater leverage within AT&T.
